West valley Green Leaf Bike Towed float in the Los Gatos Christmas Parade 2008

West Valley Green Leaf members built a bike towed float for the 2008 Los Gatos Children's Christmas parade.  We also had a bike propelled sound system for sending out holiday cheer to the community.

Some of the good folks in the West Valley Green Leaf Committee that helped with the parade.  There are a few folks missing from this photo.

Waiting for the parade to start.  The bike float had powered LED Christmas lights. No need for a loud gas powered generator.

Bike propelled sound system on a BOB bike trailer.

It was nice to have some human powered low CO2 vehicles in the parade showing that you did not need to produce a lot of pollution to have a great time celebrating the holidays.

West valley Green Leaf thanks Ira Ruskin for his leadership on AB32

Members of the West Valley Green Leaf met with California Assembly Member Ira Ruskin on June 21st to talk about issues facing our local community including global warming.  We gave him a reusable Get Your Green on shopping bag as a way of showing appreciation for co authoring AB 32 the California Global warming law.
