West valley Green Leaf committee

West Valley Green Leaf is a group of community members from Los Gatos, Monte Sereno and Saratoga who are working for a brighter and more sustainable future.

Members of the West Valley Green Leaf met with California Assembly Member Ira Ruskin on June 21st to talk about issues facing our local community including global warming.  We gave him a reusable Get Your Green on shopping bag as a way of showing appreciation for co authoring AB 32 the California Global warming law.

The Big Green bus visits los gatos

Big Green Bus visits Los Gatos Wednesday July 16th.  You can tour the Big Green Bus at YSI from noon to 3:00pm or 4:00 to 6:00pm at the Presentation Center

YSI is at Vassona Park in Los Gatos

The Presentation Center is also in Los Gatos

The Big Green Bus’s Mission

In our fourth summer on the road, the Big Green Bus educates Americans about climate change and it’s relationship to energy issues, as well as alternative energy. We promote the adoption of lifestyle choices that conserve energy and take us farther down the path towards sustainability.

As we travel 13,000 miles around the country through more than 35 states, we will spark a dialogue about sustainable living, the viability of alternative energy sources, and tangible solutions to local and global energy issues with those we meet along the way.
